En abril 2008 se organizó un retiro de varones en nuestra iglesia. Fuimos casi todos los esposos o papás de la iglesia a Tapalpa, Jalisco. Estuvimos viendo el seminario "Equipando Hombres" de Norman Wakefield. Fue un tiempo muy edificante, aprendiendo cómo ser mejores esposos y padres, basados en la Biblia.
Hubo de todo, enseñanza, comida, deporte y turismo. Yo quedé enamorado del atole de guayaba y de cajeta que venden en el centro del pueblo en las noches (vean la sonrisota en la foto).
El seminario fue muy revelador. Creo que Dios nos permitió aprender mucho acerca de nosotros, nuestras familias y nuestra posición en el plan de Dios.
Para cerrar con broche de oro, nuestras familias organizaron una fiesta sorpresa cuando llegamos, con canciones y pastel. Fue una sorpresa muy bonita.

In April 2008 there was a spiritual retreat for men of our church. Most of the fathers or husbands in the church came together, to the beautiful town called Tapalpa, Jalisco. We were taking the seminar "Equipping Men" by Norman Wakefield. It was a time of deep insight, learning how to be better husbands and fathers, based in the Bible.
There was a little bit of everything: teaching, food, sport and tourism. I fell in love with the guava and cajeta atole, which you can buy in downtown Tapalpa at night (look at my smile in the photo). If you don't know what atole is, your missing out, look in Wikipedia and then come to visit us in order to taste it.
The seminar brought very good insight. I think God allowed us to learn a lot about ourselves, our families and our position in God's plan.
To top it off very nicely, we were very pleasantly surprised by our families with a surprise party when we arrived, with songs and cake. It was a great surprise.

In April 2008 gab es ein biblisches Männertreffen mit unserer Gemeinde. Die meisten Väter oder Ehemänner unserer Gemeinde sind mitgekommen. Wir haben nach einem sehr schönen Dorf namens Tapalpa, Jalisco. Wir haben das Seminar "Männer Ausstatten" gesehen von Norman Wakefield. Es war eine Zeit mit tiefen Erkenntnissen. Wir haben gelernt wie man eine besserer Ehemann oder Vater ist, auf der Bibel basiert.
Es gab ein bisschen von allem: Lehre, Essen, Sport und Tourismus. Ich habe mich in Guava und Cajeta Atole verliebt. Man kann dieses Atole in Tapalpas Zentrum abends kaufen (seht mein Lächeln im Foto). Wenn du nicht weisst, was Atole ist, verpasst du etwas wirklich lecker. Guck in Wikipedia und dann besuch uns in Mexiko, damit du es probieren kannst.
Das Seminar brachte sehr gute inneren Erkennungen. Ich glaube, Gott hat uns geschenkt dass wir viel lernen von uns selber, unseren Familien und unsere Position in Gottes Plan.
Die Krönung war wenn unsere Familien haben uns mit einer Wilkommen-partie überrascht. Es gab Lieder und Kuchen. Es war wirklich eine Große Überraschung.
