Mom-less vacation in Tapalpa

El 23 a 25 de julio fuimos a Tapalpa. Mamá estuvo en una cabaña con muchas damas de la iglesia en un retiro. Los niños y yo (Memo) estuvimos en una cabaña por ahí "cerca" (a 30 minutos de terracería). Qué bueno que compramos una SUV 4x4 en lugar de una van familiar. Nos la pasamos muy bien, aunque fue extraño estar de vacaciones sin mamá.

On July 23rd to 25th we went to Tapalpa. Mom was in a cottage with many ladies from church, in a retreat. The children an I (Guillermo) were in a cottage "close-by" (30 minutes on dirt roads). I am glad we decided to buy a 4x4 SUV instead of a family van :-) . We had a great time, although it was strange to be on vacations without mom.

Am 23. bis 25. Juli sind wir nach Tapalpa gefahren. Mama war in einem Landhaus mit vielen Damen von der Gemeinde, in einer spirituellen Freizeit. Die Kinder und ich (Guillermo) waren in einem gemieteten Landhaus "in der Nähe" (also 30 minuten durch unbefestigste Waldwege). Ich bin froh, wir haben einen grossen Geländewagen und nicht ein Familienauto mit kleinen Reifen :-). Wir haben eine sehr schöne Zeit gehabt, obwohl "Urlaub ohne Mama" ist ein seltsames Gefühl.

Retiro de varones de la iglesia / Men's retreat from the church

Del 18 al 20 de junio, 2010, algunos hombres de nuestra iglesia fuimos a una cabaña para un retiro. Estuvimos analizando las cosas en nuestras vidas que tenemos que cambiar de acuerdo a la Palabra de Dios. También comimos cosas ricas (lo mejor fue la sopa de ojos).

On 18-20 June, 2010, some men of our church went to a cottage for a retreat. We spent some time analyzing the things in our lives that we have to change according to God's Word. We also had great meals (the best was the eye-soup).

I know we haven't been posting photos on our blog lately. We are busy but we are doing great. Here is a photo from April 2010.

Viry's ??th birthday

We celebrated Viry's birthday on the very day (February 1st). I won't say how old she is now, I will just say that two digits changed. We had a big taco party in our home. We stuffed 60+ people in the house. It was a lot of fun.

Most of us gave gifts to Viry, but God gave her a very special gift: a beautiful rainbow just in front of our door.

Tras larga espera por fin nació Sara.

Esta vez sí llegamos a tiempo al hospital, aunque el parto fue igual de rápido que con Rebeca. Tanto Viry como Sara están muy bien de salud.

This time we did make it to the hospital on time even though the labor was as fast as with Rebeca. Both Viry and Sara are in good health.

Dies Mal sind wir doch rechtzeitig ins Krankenhaus gekommen, obwohl die Dauer der Wehen genauso kurz war wie bei Rebeca. Viry und Sara sind gesund.
